Final sprint before opening and Mothers Day discount

Mother's Day Opening

OH MY GOD! We open in less than two weeks, and getting there is always quite the marathon. Today I’m sharing the latest news from April!

Opening discount and Mothers Day

For our first opening weekend on May 9 and 10, which happens to fall right on Mothers Day weekend, we’re offering 15% off.

What can you expect if you visit that weekend? Nature slowly waking up, geese with their goslings, birds singing all around… and the site coming back to life after winter.

Plus, on May 10 from 12 pm to 3 pm, kids can make a Mothers Day gift using natural elements. We promise, it turns out really beautiful.

Use the code OPEN15 to enjoy the opening discount.

A new project reaching new heights

Some REALLY motivated people are involved with us at the park. People with big dreams… and the desire to bring them to life right here on our land.

One of these incredible humans is Benjamin Lauzon Godard. Over the past year, he has spent close to one hundred hours mapping the site, cleaning the area, and preparing the ground for a project we’re very excited about:

the opening of three climbing walls.

It’s a huge amount of work, and we’re still only at the beginning. The next big step will be developing the climbing routes themselves. Fortunately, Benjamin is a route developer and certified route setter with the FQME, which makes a big difference when creating a safe and high-quality climbing site.

We feel very lucky to have him helping bring this project to life.
If all goes well, the climbing walls should open to the public in spring 2027.

We’ll keep you updated as the project moves forward.

Even more permaculture workshops

This Saturday, April 25, we’re hosting a workshop on preparing your outdoor garden, offered on a pay-what-you-can basis. The workshop lasts 3 hours, from 11 am to 2 pm. If you want to learn a few simple techniques to start your garden on the right foot, there’s still time to sign up.

And on May 23, we’re launching our first Agriculture & Art session with a basket weaving workshop using local plants.

You’ll learn the basics of a traditional weaving technique using plants harvested directly from the Éco-Odyssée site, and you’ll leave with your own handmade basket.

The workshop, led by Anna-Aimé, takes place May 23 from 10 am to 5 pm. Early registration is $50 per adult and $25 for children 15 and under.

Honestly, it’s going to be incredible.

Final sprint before opening

Our game plan for the next two weeks?

For my brother, the operations director, the mission is getting the site back up and running:
installing signs, cleaning the water maze and the grounds, putting the clues back in place, reinstalling the game structures, reopening the bathrooms, updating the computer systems… and a thousand other small tasks that always take longer than expected.

Want to see what his job looks like? We made a short video here.

For me, it’s communications… but in reality, I mostly do everything my brother doesn’t do. So these days it looks like making schedules, handling invoicing and group logistics, setting up META and Google Ads campaigns, reconnecting with local partners, updating the website, blog, social media, Google My Business, the booking system, design, printing… and answering about 50 random emails a day.

Every year at this time, I tell myself that 10 days isn’t enough to get everything done. And you know what?

WE WILL DO IT.

It’s never perfect… but it never will be either.

See you in May!
