        Name : White Cedar 

        Family : Cupressaceae 

        Leaf : scale-shaped; pointy; overlapping in pairs ; yellow-green colour 

        Bark : thin; reddish-brown 

        Fruit : cones are wider than longer ; yellowish when young; brownish when mature 

        Did you know that the first Nations used the powder from the inner bark of the White Cedar tree as baby powder? The brownish powder is very absorbent ?
