        Purple Loosestrife 

        Name : Purple Loosestrife 

        Family : Lythraceae 

        Leaf : Elongated ; pointy tip ; opposite ; alternate in pairs at right angles. 

        Flowers : In cylindrical spike ; small ; grouped by hundreds ; crimson. 

        Size : From 50 cm to more than 2 m.  

        WARNING… : The Purple Loosestrife is a harmful species to the marsh’s ecosystem. It can invade the marsh, dry it out, and harm wild plants as well as the animals that feed on them. If you see it in the maze, please take note of the spot and let us know. Thank you.
