Common Loon

Family: Gaviidae

Size: It measures approximately 70 to 90 cm.

Longevity: It can live about 4 years.

Habitat: The common loon lives in isolated lakes and coastal waters.

Food: It can swallow fish up to 28 cm in size. It consumes both marine and freshwater species. It can also feed on small mollusks, crustaceans and cephalopods.
