Bufflehead

Size: It measures approximately 33 to 38 cm.

Longevity: It can live for 14 years.

Habitat: The bufflehead lives in rivers, shallow lakes and coastal waters.

Food: The bufflehead forages underwater, diving. It finds its food at the bottom. It captures various arthropods, such as insect larvae, in fresh water, and small crustaceans (shrimps, crabs and amphipods), in salt water.
